About Us
Humanitarian Aid Agencies initiated emergency relief work soon after the collapse of the former regime in Somalia during 1991, after human catastrophes of all types hit Somalia, for the most affected families and particularly for women, children and marginalized communities.
CSF was instituted in the aftermath of the catastrophic famine 2011 in the Horn of Africa as part of this plan to address the effects of calamities by involving communities in development and educational programmes.
Service delivery and semi-development work continued until 17th December2015, when founders held a meeting, which recommended CSF to translate the experience into an independent non-profit humanitarian organization, supporting communities in forming local development initiatives and building their capacities through disaster risk management training and pioneering campaigns to take Children back to school.
CSF exists to achieve something of interest for Somali society through welfare projects on Education, Child Protection, Maternity health, Livelihood and Women’s empowerment in over 20 remote villages and urban areas across Somalia States.
Today, CSF is one of the leading national non-governmental organizations in Somalia with operational presence across three states and duly registered with the Federal Government of Somalia
